These are not all complete and a business plan will certainly cover many more details. It does show enough pieces of the puzzle to give you a better sense of where you might have opportunity.
The Lack of Human Capital Resources is the #1 Cause of Failure." "It all comes down to resource management."
If you are stuck it is because of either your skill or your will. The options are obvious:
- Learn
- Partner
- Outsource
Learn: Obviously learning every skill and detail will take some time and you are sure to have areas you want to avoid. You might think of it as the least expensive but in reality it is the most since there is a lack of income every month.
Partner: If you partner with an expert who will combine coaching and services over a period of time, you gain expertise and success. There will be an investment but to improve the success curve in dramatic fashion and reduce the stress level is more than worth it. Always work with someone who offers a guarantee. (They stick around until the results are achieved.) This is why I refer to them as a partner / coach because performance based services keep them very motivated to produce.
Outsource: For success with outsourcing there is still an amount of knowledge you will need though it would be much quicker than learning everything yourself.
Take the long road and learn it on your own. Take the shorter road and either get a partner / coach (who has an interest in your success) or outsource the tasks.
Which of these choices best suits you? Which business model reflects yours?
There is a temptation to do it all, blend the business models, lose focus, and spend more time learning than creating content.
Hopefully these will help you narrow down choices and create better to-do lists.
